Miranda Stowers, M.A., IMFT
Miranda Stowers holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. Prior to working in private practice, Miranda spent 3 years working in community mental health settings, where she supported individuals and families navigating complex trauma, chronic stress, and significant life transitions. During that time, she received training in the Community Resilience Model, which continues to shape her attention to nervous system regulation and resilience in therapy.
Today, Miranda works with individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families. Miranda has a warm, relational style and focuses on providing a safe, hopeful environment for her clients. She has a particular focus and depth of experience working with adolescents and enjoys working with teens during a period of rapid growth, self-exploration, and change, including concerns related to trauma, anxiety, identity development, relationships, and life transitions.
In her work with relationships, Miranda focuses on helping clients move beyond stuck or painful relational cycles toward more intentional and fulfilling ways of connecting. Therapy often includes exploring communication styles, boundaries, and emotional needs, while supporting clients in practicing new ways of relating that feel more aligned and sustainable.
Miranda is trained in EMDR and integrates this modality to support clients in working through entrenched patterns and the lingering effects of traumatic experiences. Her work is relational and grounded in careful attunement, emotional safety, and respect for each client’s lived experience. She believes when clients feel accurately understood, therapy can become a space for clarity, relief, and meaningful change.
As a parent, Miranda brings both clinical expertise and lived perspective to her work, particularly when supporting children, adolescents, and families. Her approach to therapy is steady, collaborative, and compassionate, with close attention to each client’s unique history, strengths, and goals.
