Dr. Jeffrey Prather, Psy.D
Dr. Jeffrey Prather is a psychologist who has worked with clients in individual, marital, and family therapy and specialized with children and adolescents for over 25 years. Dr. Prather received his Doctor of Psychology Degree from Wright State University and through his training and work as a psychologist has had the opportunity to work in diverse settings, including helping start a counseling program for youth or probation in the Chicago area, adult chemical dependency treatment, and over 20 years in private practice. During his professional life Dr. Prather has also taught courses at the University of Cincinnati, conducted seminars, and is in the process of writing children’s books related to mental health.
While Dr. Prather continues to specialize in working with youth, he enjoys working with clients of all ages and with relationships. Specific areas that Dr. Prather tends to focus on include anxiety, anger management, depression, emotional regulation/executive functioning, life decisions, self-worth, and finding connectedness.
Dr. Prather’s approach to therapy focuses on being present, empathetic, and offering tools when requested to help with such issues as persistent anxiety. Many clients have reported to Dr. Prather that the approach used to address anxiety, anger, or addictive issues has been the first time they have felt significant relief. His specific approach tends to be Person-Centered and include work in the areas of Mindfulness and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. Dr. Prather values getting to know each individual with whom he is working and basing the treatment process on the personality and goals of each person.
On a personal level, Dr. Prather is married and has raised three boys. He feels the experiences of parenting have significantly helped him understand issues youth and parents deal with on a deeper level.
Dr. Prather’s professional hopes going forward are to continue providing therapy, offer seminars on topics such as Mindfulness, and give focus to further writing projects.
Miranda Stowers, M.A., IMFT
Miranda Stowers holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles. Prior to working in private practice, Miranda spent 3 years working in community mental health settings, where she supported individuals and families navigating complex trauma, chronic stress, and significant life transitions. During that time, she received training in the Community Resilience Model, which continues to shape her attention to nervous system regulation and resilience in therapy.
Today, Miranda works with individuals of all ages, as well as couples and families. Miranda has a warm, relational style and focuses on providing a safe, hopeful environment for her clients. She has a particular focus and depth of experience working with adolescents and enjoys working with teens during a period of rapid growth, self-exploration, and change, including concerns related to trauma, anxiety, identity development, relationships, and life transitions.
In her work with relationships, Miranda focuses on helping clients move beyond stuck or painful relational cycles toward more intentional and fulfilling ways of connecting. Therapy often includes exploring communication styles, boundaries, and emotional needs, while supporting clients in practicing new ways of relating that feel more aligned and sustainable.
Miranda is trained in EMDR and integrates this modality to support clients in working through entrenched patterns and the lingering effects of traumatic experiences. Her work is relational and grounded in careful attunement, emotional safety, and respect for each client’s lived experience. She believes when clients feel accurately understood, therapy can become a space for clarity, relief, and meaningful change.
As a parent, Miranda brings both clinical expertise and lived perspective to her work, particularly when supporting children, adolescents, and families. Her approach to therapy is steady, collaborative, and compassionate, with close attention to each client’s unique history, strengths, and goals.
Lynne Linkowski, LPC, LPAT, ATR-BC
Lynne Linkowski (she/her) is a Board Certified Art Therapist and lifelong midwesterner. Prior to joining this private practice, Lynne spent the last 12 years working in school, community mental health, and inpatient hospital settings as a counselor/art therapist. Lynne provides both individual and group counseling to children, adolescents and adults of all abilities; specializing in anxiety, depression, self-esteem and life transitions.
In addition to art therapy techniques, Lynne draws from mindfulness, strength-based, and person-centered approaches; emphasizing the collaborative nature of the therapeutic relationship and enabling clients to advocate for their needs. Lynne approaches her career as an opportunity to treat the whole person; recognizing that needs and experiences are different for all. Her holistic approach allows her to meet people where they are and support them in defining and focusing on their specific goals.
As an art therapist, Lynne utilizes a variety of creative outlets in addition to classic art materials (painting, drawing, collage, sculpture); often also referencing writing, symbolism, talk, humor, movement and music for self-expression. The focus is primarily on the emotional experience or process of creating and many clients find that they are able to express more nonverbally than through speaking alone. No prior experience or skills are required to participate in art therapy, just a willingness to explore!
Outside of art, Lynne enjoys music, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends.
