Services and Specialties
Our Approach
Our approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with feeling deeply seen and understood. We combine strong clinical training with genuine human presence, offering individualized care that is responsive to each person’s goals, history, and strengths. With careful attention to emotional safety, practical relief, and the development of a more connected sense of self, therapy becomes a place where insight deepens and lasting change can take shape.
Our Services
Individual Therapy
A collaborative, individualized space to slow down, understand your experience more fully, and reconnect with your sense of self. Feeling genuinely seen and understood becomes the foundation for clarity, resilience, and lasting change and for developing skills that help you move through stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions with greater steadiness and confidence.
Marital/Couples Therapy
Couples therapy supports movement out of reactive patterns and into more emotionally safe, responsive, and intentional ways of relating. As each partner becomes more deeply understood, new possibilities for communication, repair, and connection emerge.
Family Therapy
Family therapy focuses on the relationships between members while honoring each person’s unique experience. With greater understanding and reduced reactivity, families are able to navigate conflict, transitions, and growth with more stability and care.
Child/Adolescent Therapy
Developmentally attuned therapy that supports emotional regulation, identity formation, and growing confidence in relationships and daily life. Creative and relational approaches are tailored to each young person’s stage of development, personality, and needs.
Specialty Treatments / Areas of Focus
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapy that helps process experiences that continue to feel present and disruptive. It is commonly used for trauma, anxiety, OCD, negative self-beliefs, and identity-related concerns, and is provided in a paced, relational way that emphasizes safety, readiness, and meaningful integration.
Art and Play Therapy
Art and play therapy offer developmentally attuned, nonverbal pathways for expression, regulation, and healing. These sessions often make use of the natural spaces surrounding the office and nearby parks, where movement, creativity, and connection with the environment support deeper engagement and authentic expression.
Children and Adolescents
Work with children and adolescents is grounded in a deep respect for the complexity and significance of these formative years. Particular clinical depth includes younger children, family involvement, adolescent development, and the distinct needs of both teenage boys and girls as they build identity, emotional awareness, confidence, and connection.
Young and Adult Men
Dr. Prather’s work supports men in exploring identity, responsibility, purpose, relationships, and emotional life with honesty and depth. Therapy offers space to move beyond isolation or pressure toward greater flexibility, self-understanding, and more intentional, connected ways of living.
